Who We Are
Our story is anything but typical—a widower married the nanny.
From the start, our marriage and ministry have been woven with threads of loss, trauma, and conflict. But through it all, we’ve experienced God’s restorative kindness, building resilience and joy—not in spite of the hard, but right in the middle of it.
For over 30 years, Ed has served as pastor, missionary, and church planter. For the last decade, he’s become a pastor to pastors—walking alongside ministry leaders through the highs and lows of their calling. Emily has been right there with him, also spending nearly a decade supporting pastors’ wives through Parakaleo. With a master’s in counseling, she integrates gospel truth with clinical insight to help people heal and grow.
Our journey—marked by both beauty and brokenness—has deepened our passion for investing in other ministry couples. We know the weight of the calling, and we also know the grace that sustains it. That’s why we’re here—to walk with you toward resilience, renewal, and joy in both marriage and ministry.
Who We Serve
Few ministries focus on the couple in ministry. Yet research from Resilient Ministry summarizes the need: “Few things strengthen and support pastors for ministry more than their relationship with their spouse.”
We serve ministry couples—church planters, pastors, and missionaries. Sometimes, we work with one spouse to promote healing and growth. But our aim is to support the unique partnership at the heart of ministry: the couple.
Our Values
Humble Confidence
We live with honest humility and unshakable hope—fully known, fully loved.
Generous Hospitality
We welcome others with open hands and hearts, just as Jesus has welcomed us.
Restorative Beauty
We seek and celebrate beauty that heals, reflecting the grace that transforms ashes into life.
Compassionate Witness
We offer presence, empathy, and truth, because we’ve been seen, known, and loved by God.
Whole-Person Care
We honor the whole person—body, mind, and soul—as we walk with couples toward resilience and renewal.
These core values guide our work with couples, rooted in the gospel, shaped by grace and attentive to the whole person.
