INTENSIVES
Carefully Crafted to Engage the Whole Person
Jackson, MS Intensives
We offer 1–3 day intensives at our home, with focused care and generous hospitality. Together we process issues couples are facing and what’s getting in the way of flourishing, building in space for reflection throughout the time. In addition to intentional conversations, we include things like Ed’s freshly roasted coffee, deliciously prepared Alaskan salmon, and a cozy, welcoming environment. And for those who want to go a little deeper, there’s the option to explore the cold plunge and sauna experience—a chance to reconnect body and soul.
Each intensive is carefully curated for the needs of the couple, including length of stay and where you’ll sleep (at our home or at a local airbnb). Reach out to us to learn more.
We believe that being immersed in the beauty of God’s creation—engaging all five senses—is both restorative and worshipful. As we taste and see His goodness in Alaska’s wild landscape, we’re drawn closer to our creative God and His vibrant work in the world. Whether hiking, fishing, cold plunging in a glacier lake, or enjoying eating fresh-caught salmon under the midnight sun, each experience invites disruption, reflection, and renewal. While meaningful conversations are woven through every adventure, mostly we all get to watch the Spirit work, listening to His voice, keeping in step with Him. Our desire is to send each couple home with a deep sense of being seen and known, with renewed courage and calm to face the challenges that await them at home.
This 4–5 day intensive is for ministry couples on sabbatical or in transition. It is not ideal for couples in crisis.

VIRTUAL SESSIONS
We spend 1–2 hours at a time helping couples navigate the spiritual and emotional complexities of ministry. Some seek support for a specific issue; others want ongoing care. Most are carrying unprocessed grief, trauma, and loss—either personally or from walking with others—along with anxiety about inadequacy and shame for not “handling it better.” We want to help them experience healing and freedom as they live and serve.
Sometimes it’s the marriage that is our focus, helping couples listen and move towards one another with compassion that they first receive from Christ. We help couples identify their negative cycles and heal fresh and old wounds.
We also meet with couples before and after intensives to provide continuity of care, and for those unable to attend intensives, we offer weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly sessions for as long as needed.
